Our teachers know their students and work with them to help them realise their potential as learners. Our focus on authentic learning and authentic assessment ensures that we challenge our students to grow in their learning and achieve their personal best.

Throughout our community of Sydney Catholic schools, we have shown high performance of our students in measures such as NAPLAN and the HSC.

Learning and AchievementAt St Paul of the Cross Catholic Primary School Dulwich Hill, every student is supported to grow and succeed. We track each child’s progress carefully, using NAPLAN, Progressive Achievement Tests (PAT) and the Year 6 Religious Education test, alongside regular classroom assessments. This tells us exactly where each student is in their learning, and shapes how we teach them.

The results speak for themselves. In June 2026, a Sydney Morning Herald analysis of NAPLAN data ranked our school second in NSW for student growth between Year 3 and Year 5 across reading, writing, spelling, grammar and numeracy among schools serving similar communities. These results reflect the growth of every child, not just a select few. Our teachers use proven, evidence-based practices, tailored to each student’s individual needs.
