Central to the religious life of the school is the person of Jesus Christ who came among us ‘as one who serves’ (Luke 22.27). Our Catholic school is committed to reaching out to help those in need, through charitable outreach initiatives. All outreach activities connect to the person of Jesus Christ and to the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Drawing on the Catholic Social Teaching of the Church, we have a deep commitment to supporting a range of charitable organisations, families and individuals in need.
At St Paul of the Cross Catholic Primary School Dulwich Hill we are guided by the charism of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and her words to ‘never see a need without doing something about it.’
In the spirit of outreach and generosity our students partner with the St Vincent de Paul Society in supporting their Winter and Christmas Appeals and support Caritas and Catholic Mission through fundraising initiatives. Our families also provide ‘blessing meals’ to members of our community in times of need.
Our senior students are instrumental in organising, leading and supporting outreach activities throughout the school.
